Trip To Quiapo

Trip To Quiapo Book Review

Ricky Lee in his book Trip to Quiapo, did not only revealed one way on how to get to Quiapo but opened a lot of new ways.

scriptwriting isn’t that easy it takes a lot of time to practice that kind of skills. Almost all people knows how to write but only a few of us take it seriously and enhance our skills in writing. In writing we need the passion to do things so we can provide good stories and scopes.

In Ricky Lee’s book Trip to Quiapo, first he differentiates three writers, the first one just follow the old way where all the other writer used to pass, the second one take the different route to reach Quiapo and the third one was he past through the jungle, mountains and find the all new route and create his own Quiapo. Ricky Lee said that the third one was the best writer among the three bcause he was able to find new ways and used his imagination in creating his own Quiapo. In scriptwriting we must use our imagination, every time we release an idea in our mind. The ideas must flow continuously to be able to produce the other hidden ideas behind every erasure or edited word in our work. It’s the countless times, that we want our real self to speak in every work that we do that makes it a script worth not only publishing but putting into a real world.

Lee also talked about the “little people” inside of us, those of which can only come out if we look beyond what we literally see and think out of the box, and just let our emotions and hidden ideas flow. It’s the unpredictability and uniqueness of our little selves that enables a person to write. Not sticking to traditional ways, rather, realizing the importance of the abject of the other that makes every detail, every emotion, timeless in a scriptwriter’s work.Using the object of what is there and what is not opens new horizons to a writer on how he could come out of the box he is given, and take an extra mile in his creative visions that is far from the old way.

Going to a place where we want to be also gives us the idea and where we can found new stories that we can make. Just like riding a jeepney. We don’t just sit there and wait for arrive where we want to be. While traveling we can see a picture of our surroundings as the jeepney goes by. The other person sitting right beside or in front of you can tell different stories., some are comfortable on his place while taking a smooth and nice trip along the highway, or the other on feels the other way. Going to one place to another makes us feel or see different kind of emotions.

CAI

DEFENITION-It will be helpful, before discussing the research findings, to offer some definitions of CAI and other kinds of learning activities involving computers. As Kulik, Kulik, and Bangert-Drowns point out in their 1985 research summary, "the terminology in the area is open to dispute" (p. 59). This is putting it mildly. Those seeking to make sense of the array of terms used by educators and researchers--computer-assisted instruction, computer-based education, computer-based instruction, computer-enriched instruction, computermanaged instruction--can easily become confused. The following definitions are a synthesis of those offered by Bangert-Drowns, et al. (1985), Batey (1987), Grimes (1977), Samson et al. (1986), and Stennett (1985), and represent commonly accepted (though certainly not the only) definitions of these terms:
Computer-based education (CBE) and computer-based instruction (CBI) are the broadest terms and can refer to virtually any kind of computer use in educational settings, including drill and practice, tutorials, simulations, instructional management, supplementary exercises, programming, database development, writing using word processors, and other applications. These terms may refer either to stand-alone computer learning activities or to computer activities which reinforce material introduced and taught by teachers.
Computer-assisted instruction (CAI) is a narrower term and most often refers to drill-and-practice, tutorial, or simulation activities offered either by themselves or as supplements to traditional, teacherdirected instruction.
Computer-managed instruction (CMI) can refer either to the use of computers by school staff to organize student data and make instructional decisions or to activities in which the computer evaluates students' test performance, guides them to appropriate instructional resources, and keeps records of their progress.
Computer-enriched instruction (CEI) is defined as learning activities in which computers (1) generate data at the students' request to illustrate relationships in models of social or physical reality, (2) execute programs developed by the students, or (3) provide general enrichment in relatively unstructured exercises designed to stimulate and motivate students.

Bee Movie

The Bee Movie is the title of this animated film that we viewed last Tuesday and yesterday. At first i don't know whats the relation of this movie to our ITMM subject which is advance web development, but as the movie goes i slowly understand why our teacher let us view this film.
In this movie you can get many significant learning that you can apply to the real world. One significant learning that i got from this movie is that no matter how small you are, you must not stop from doing something that you believe is right, and you can make things happen if you work together as one. \m/
One of the most striking part of the movie is when the work all together to save the airplane that is about to crash and bring the flowers back to life.
With this significant learning that i have from this movie, i can now promote teamwork and do your job with all your heart. And we most consider the other people that help us and already part of us, cause without them you cannot be happy and successful. the last one is that you must be proud of your work weather it is small or big, the most imfortant thing is you do your job with your heart.
